O2 Power has started the commercial operation of a 250 MW solar photovoltaic project in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, India.
Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd (SECI) has contracted the energy output of the plant at a fixed tariff of INR 2.50 per kWh (US$32.20/MWh) for 25 years. Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Limited will purchase the power output of the solar plant from SECI.
O2 Power is jointly owned by Swedish private equity firm EQT Infrastructure and Singapore’s state-owned Temasek.
