The Nordex Group has secured a 68 MW order from EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG for the Derental-Lauenförde wind farm in Lower Saxony, Germany, marking the first time EnBW will deploy Nordex’s latest N175/6.X turbines. Under an extended framework agreement renewed in summer 2025, Nordex will supply and install ten 6.8 MW turbines on 179-meter concrete hybrid towers specially designed for low-wind inland sites to achieve maximum energy yields. Installation is set to begin in April 2027 with full commissioning by September 2027, and the deal includes long-term Premium Service maintenance. This project strengthens the long-standing partnership between the two companies and reflects Germany’s accelerating permitting process, which is driving strong demand for onshore wind turbines as EnBW advances its goal of reaching 80% renewable generation by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2035 through up to €50 billion in planned investments, primarily in Germany.
