Navantia, a state-owned shipbuilder coany in Spain, has started the construct 20 upper jackets for 950 MW Moray East offshore wind farm located in the North Sea, 22 km off the Aberdeenshire coast of Scotland.
Smulders has awarded the contract build and deliver the jackets fthe offshore wind project to Navantia.
Each of the jackets weigh 460 tonnes. The load-out will take place in two stages with the first shipment departing in the last quarter of 2019. The last batch is scheduled to leave the shipyard in the spring of 2020.
