Sarens has announced the completion of the installation of all monopiles for the Moray West offshore wind farm in Scotland, which has a capacity of 882 MW.

To support this project, Ocean Winds awarded the contract for intermediate delivery base services to SarensPSG, a joint venture between Sarens and PSG Marine & Logistics. SarensPSG successfully carried out the operations at the port of Invergordon, including the handling of 62 monopiles. These monopiles, with weights reaching up to 2000 tonnes, are the largest and heaviest XXL monopiles ever handled in the UK. They have diameters of up to 10 m and lengths of up to 84.7 m.

The offshore wind farm is located 22.5 km (14 miles) off the Caithness coast as a sister site of the 950 MW Moray East wind farm, Moray Firth, Scotland. The facility is comprised of 60 units of the SG 14-222 DD turbines, each of 14.7 MW. The wind farm will have the capacity to power up to 1.3 million homes in UK.
