B&W starts operation of Glennmont's 40 MW biomass project in Wales

Babcock & Wilcox Vølund A/S has handed over the 40 MW wood-fired biomass project located in South Wales to Margam Green Energy Ltd, a special purpose vehicle owned by clean energy infrastructure investor Glennmont Partners.

Glennmont Partners has invested GBP160 million (US$200 million) to build the biomass project. The facility is located in the Welsh suburb of Margam near Port Talbot in UK. 

Babcock & Wilcox will deliver the 15-year operations and maintenance (O&M) contract for the project.
