Meyer Burger Technology AG and its partners have signed multiyear cooperation agreements to research and develop high-performance solar cells and modules.
The company is industrializing perovskite tandem technology with CSEM, Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (HZB), the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE, and the Institute of Photovoltaics at the University of Stuttgart to produce solar cells with efficiencies beyond 30%.
These new production technologies will be developed exclusively for Meyer Burger's own manufacture. The aim is to significantly boost the energy output of commercial solar modules.
