Emmvee Group has partnered with Fraunhofer ISE to develop a 1.5 GW solar photovoltaic (PV) cell production unit in India, close to Bangalore. The two companies have signed an agreement for a project that will span over 36 months. This will include a technical review of process equipment and consumables, personnel training in cell production, optimization of production lines, and a TOPCon update with cell line optimization.
Emmvee currently has a module production capacity of 1.25 GW in the Indian state of Karnataka, and the company is aiming to increase their module capacity to 5 GW by 2024, including 1.5 GW of mono PERC/TOPCon cell capacity.
