European Energy has completed the construction and started the commercial operation of its 37 MW Kingebol wind farm located in the municipality of Åmål, Sweden.

The project is composed of six turbines that are designed to generate up to 108 GWh per year, which corresponds to 20,000 residential households’ annual consumption of electricity.

The project has run according to schedule without disruptions or delays. The turbines are type SG6,2-170 HH 115, manufactured by Siemens Gamesa. The wind turbines stand at a height of 200 m.

European Energy has also disclosed a plan to construct a 37 MWp solar project that will be adjacent to the wind park. If the county administrative board gives green light to the project, the solar park can be completed within 12–16 months.
