European Energy and TotalEnergies have initiated seabed surveys for the planned 240 MW Jammerland Bugt offshore wind farm, deploying three specialized vessels to map the seabed’s topography, geology, and conditions—critical data for designing turbine foundations, cable routes, and safe installation.
The site, located between Funen and Zealand in Denmark, has already received construction approval (December 2024), with offshore construction anticipated to start in 2027 and full commissioning scheduled for 2029. Once operational, the 16-turbine (15 MW each) wind farm is expected to supply power to over 240,000 European households.
