MB Geothermal, a unit of MB Holding, has signed a contract with Ekonerg for the design of a binary (ORC) Legrad geothermal power plant in Croatia.
The 19.9 MW project will be built using advanced technologies, and it will have an annual electricity output of about 165 GWh, an equivalent of about 100,000 barrels of crude oil.
The developer has asked the Croatian transmission system operator to produce an optimal technical solution study for the proposed power plant’s connection to the grid. The plant is expected to deliver electricity to the northern Croatian power grid.
