The Government of Lithuania through the National Energy Regulatory Council (Vert) has awarded the UAB Windfarm Akmene 1 the energy tender for the development of wind projects that can generate up to 300 GWh of energy.
The company will develop a wind energy farm and a supplementary infrastructure with a total capacity of 400 MW.
The two sections of the project, Windfarm Akmenė One, and Windfarm Akmenė Two are located near Akmenė, a city in the Siauliai County in northern Lithuania, around 20 km south of the Latvian border and around 280 km northwest of the country’s capital, Vilnius.
