Eesti Energia closes EUR-289m buy of Baltic wind power producer

The Estonian Competition Authority granted permission to Eesti Energia to finalize the buying of Nelja Energia.

The acquisition of the Nelja Energia is in line with Eesti Energia’s goal to produce 40% of electricity from renewable and alternative sources by 2022.

Enefit Green, a company owned by Eesti Energia, is a rapidly growing in the Baltic Sea region. The company produces electricity and heat from wind, water, biomass, solar and mixed municipal waste.

Enefit Green and Nelja Energia signed signed the close of sale on May 29, 2018, amounting to EUR 289 million.
