Enefit Green AS, a subsidiary of Eesti Energia, has made the final investment decision for the development of the 75 MW Akmene wind farm project in Lithuania. The developers have also signed a supply agreement with General Electric Co for the 14 turbines of the project, which will have 5.3 MW and 5.5 MW individual capacities.
The 75 MW Akmene project represents about EUR85 million (US$99.4 million) of investment that includes EUR66 million (US$76.33) million for turbine supply deal and EUR19 million (US$21.97 million) contract for the construction works with the balance of plant to be provided by UAB Merko.
