Kuwait National Petroleum Corporation opens seven bids for 1.5 GW solar PV project

Kuwait National Petroleum Corporation has opened seven bids for the 1.5 GW solar PV project within the Al-Shagaya Renewable Energy Park.

The US$1.7 billion worth facility involves the design, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance of five solar photovoltaic generating units, each with a maximum capacity of 300 MW (AC), occupying 32 km2 within ​Al-Shagaya Renewable Energy Park, located approximately 100km west of Kuwait City.
