Kuwait National Petroleum Corporation has opened seven bids for the 1.5 GW solar PV project within the Al-Shagaya Renewable Energy Park.
The US$1.7 billion worth facility involves the design, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance of five solar photovoltaic generating units, each with a maximum capacity of 300 MW (AC), occupying 32 km2 within Al-Shagaya Renewable Energy Park, located approximately 100km west of Kuwait City.
