The Kuwait Authority for Partnership Projects (KAPP) has announced the qualification results of the companies and consortiums applying for the Dabdeba Electric Power Generation Project and the Shaqaya Renewable Energy Project - Phase III (Zone 1 PV Project) located within the Al-Shagaya complex in Jahra Governorate, about 100 km from the Kuwait City.
The project scope includes the development, financing, design, procurement, engineering, construction, testing, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and transfer of a power plant with a net capacity of 1.5 GW. The plant's output will supply Kuwait's electrical grid under a 30-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy. KAPP and MEWRE are supported by Ernst & Young as Lead & Financial Advisor, DLA Piper as Legal Advisor, and DNV as Technical & Environmental Advisor. Following is the list of Qualified Companies:
