JMalucelli Ambiental has signed a letter of intent with Rio Grande do Sul state government for the development of the biogas plant located in Montenegro region, Brazil.
The 2 MW Central de Tratamento Integrado de Residuos Organicos uses organic agricultural waste of vegetable or animal origin as feedstock. The facility also produces biogas and fertilizers.
The total project investment is BRL 100 million (USD 25.5m). It is expected to commence operation by 2020.
