The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has closed a US$25 million loan with BIM Energy Holding Corporation, a unit of the BIM Group Joint Stock Company, and ACEN Vietnam Investments Pte. Ltd., a subsidiary of the ACEN CORPORATION (ACEN), for the development of the 88 MW wind farm project located in Ninh Thuan, South Central Vietnam.
The loan is co-financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited, the Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, ING Bank, and Cathay United Bank.
The project, which will have up to 22 GE Cypress turbines, is expected to supply clean energy for up to 50,000 homes annually once commissioned. The solar farm is expected to contribute to the sustainability efforts of the Vietnamese government.
