Ilmatar Energy plans to build two solar photovoltaic (PV) projects with a combined capacity of 230 MW which will be constructed in the municipality of Joroinen in Finland.
The two solar PV projects will be built in Huutokoski and Vuotsinsuo. The Huutokoski project area will be located close to a reserve power station in a forest management area in two separate locations, northwest of the municipal center of Joroinen. The total area of the two sites is slightly more than 80 hectares and will have a combined capacity of 70 MW.
The Vuotsinsuo project area will be located on a former peat production site, south of the municipal center in an area that totals approximately 200 hectares. It will have a generating capacity of 160 MW. Commissioning of the solar projects is expected to be completed in 2025.
