Ilmatar has applied for an environmental permit for its 450MW Tönnersjö solar farm located in Tönnersjö, outside Halmstad in Halland county, Sweden.
The process of site planning commenced in 2022, when the developer entered into a land lease contract with Silvestica Green Forest, the proprietor of the forest area. After conducting thorough environmental impact assessments and engaging in consultations, the official application for the establishment of the solar park has now been formally submitted to the authorities of Halland County.
The facility will be built over an area of 450 ha. Once operational, the project will be connected directly to the main electric grid.
