Vestas has received a firm order from Vattenfall Vindkraft AB, to power the 67 MW Velinga wind project located in the municipality of Tidaholm in Västra Götaland County, Sweden.
The order comprises twelve V150-6.0 MW wind turbines operating in the 5.6 MW mode, encompassing the supply, delivery, and commissioning of the turbines with a rotor diameter of 150 m and a hub height of 115 m. The turbines will be installed on steel towers and will be connected to the grid via a new 12 km long transmission line.
Following completion, Vestas will maintain these turbines through a long-term Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement aimed at ensuring optimal performance. Turbine delivery is anticipated to commence in Q2 of 2025, with commissioning slated for completion in the second half of 2025.
