Idemitsu Kosan starts commercial operation of 16.88 MW solar PV project in Iwate prefecture

Idemitsu Kosan Co Ltd, through its subsidiary RS Renewables Co Ltd, has started the commercial operation of its 16.88 MW solar photovoltaic project located in Iwate prefecture, Japan. 

The Hirono Town Solar Power Plant will generate about 18.12 million kWh of energy per year, enough to power up to 6,000 local homes. 

Solar Frontier Co Ltd, a unit of Idemitsu, is in charge of operations and maintenance (O&M) at the solar park.
