Renova, Inc. has made a final investment decision regarding the large-scale biomass power generation project, 49.9 MW Karatsu Biomass Project, being developed by Renova in Saga prefecture, Japan.
In addition, RENOVA has reached a financial close by signing a financing agreement with financial institutions. Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp and The Bank of Fukuoka Ltd acted as lead manager and co-arranger, respectively, while GE Japan now SMFL MIRAI Partners Co Ltd served as a mezzanine lender.
The project is owned by Renova, Toho Gas Co Ltd, JA Mitsui Leasing Ltd, and Innocent Co Ltd.
