J-Power is jointly developing the 21 MW Ishikari-Hachinosawa wind project with SymEnergy Inc, located on Hokkaido Island, Japan.
The project consists of five 4.2-MW wind turbines, supplied by General Electric. The construction of the project is planned to start before the end of 2021 and is expected to start commercial operations in 2023.
SymEnergy Inc holds a 30% stake in the Ishikari Green Energy Co Ltd, the vehicle that holds the project. The Ishikari Green was established by J-Wind Co Ltd, a subsidiary of J-Power.
