J-Power starts construction of 34 MW wind farm in Ehime prefecture

J-Wind Co. a wholly-owned subsidiary of J-POWER, has started the construction of the 34 MW Minami Ehime No. 2 wind project located in Uwajima City, Ehime prefecture, Japan. 

The wind farm will be constructed on the administrative boundary between Uwajima City and Ainan-cho, on the eastern side of the existing Minami Ehime Wind Farm. The new 34 MW wind project will be the second one in Shikoku for the J-POWER Group. The onshore wind project consists of ten wind turbines each of 3.40 MW supplied by Siemens Gamesa. 

With construction started in September 2021, the Minami Ehime No. 2 project is expected to be operational by 2024.
