The Spanish renewable energy developer Ibereolica Renovables is seeking an environmental permit for the planned development of a 793.6 MW wind farm in Chile.
The wind farm will be built in the region of Antofagasta and will consist of up to 128 turbines of a 6.2 MW individual capacity. The project represents about US$684 million of investment in the region.
The construction of the project is expected to start in mid-2022.
