AR Energia Chile to build 471.29 MWp solar project in Antofagasta region

AR Energia Chile, a unit of a Spanish holding company Activos en Renta Grupo Corporativo SA that is involved in the mining and solar industry, is set to build a 471.29 MWp solar photovoltaic project in the Antofagasta region of Chile. 

The AR Changos Solar project will be equipped with up to one million bifacial PV modules, a 13.5 km long 220-kV high-voltage transmission line, and a step-up substation that has two transformers. The project will be developed with an investment of about US$280 million.

AR Changos Solar SpA has submitted the environmental impact statements (EIS) for the proposed solar project.
