Alternergy Holdings Corp. has secured funding amounting to PHP 1.45 billion (USD 26 million) for the development of the 99.2 MW Tanay wind farm and the 64.8 MW Alabat wind farm in the Philippines.

This financial support will be allocated towards advancing Alternergy's upcoming development initiatives, including the implementation of the Tanay and Alabat wind power projects as part of the Department of Energy's Green Energy Auction 2 program. Tanay, characterized by its hilly and mountainous topography, is strategically positioned for the establishment of a new wind farm, with an anticipated annual net generation of 252.9 GWh.

Situated on the eastern seaboard of Luzon Island within Quezon Province, the Alabat Island Wind Project is slated to connect to the power grid through the 69 KV distribution system of Quezon 1 Electric Cooperative, located approximately 8 km away from the project site.
