The Board of Investments (BOI) awarded the Green Lane Certificate of Endorsement to The Blue Circle for its Kalayaan 2 wind power project located in the Laguna province (Luzon), Philippines.

The Kalayaan 2 project has been officially recognized as a strategic investment for the Philippines. It has obtained green lane status, streamlining the process of permit and license issuance, including the resolution of strategic investment issues. Developed by The Blue Circle (TBC) through its wholly-owned subsidiary Laguna Wind Energy Corp. (LWEC), the Kalayaan 2 wind power project is a key initiative in TBC's expansion efforts in the Philippines. TBC is actively developing more than 2.5 GW worth of renewable energy projects across the country.

Covering 70 ha, Kalayaan 2 will utilize cutting-edge wind turbine generator technology to generate 100.8 MW of clean energy. Aligned with the Department of Energy's goal of 35% renewable energy in the power mix by 2030, the project will accelerate the Philippines' efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, foster economic growth, and prioritize the well-being of stakeholders by preserving their health and the environment.
