KfW has issued a €1.1 million grant to Elektroprivreda BiH for the construction of 60 MW Bitovnja wind park. Elektroprivreda BiH plans to build up to 25 wind turbines in the northern part of the municipality of Konjic, in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The grant will fund preparatory works additional wind potential tests on the site of the future wind park, geological and geotechnical research, an environment impact study and a feasibility study.
The minimum annual production of the wind farm is estimated at 110 GWh of electricity.
Germany's KfW is also financing the construction of 48 MW wind park Podvelezje in Mostar. Elektroprivreda BiH operates in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, one of the two parts of postwar Bosnia. The other is the Serb Republic.
