Genex Power to fully own 2 GW solar project in Queensland

Genex Power Limited has entered into a transaction with Solar Choice Pty Ltd in order to acquire a 100% interest in the development rights for the multi-stage 2 GW Bulli Creek Clean Energy Project located approximately 100 km southwest of Toowoomba in southeast Queensland, Australia.

Solar Choice will provide development services to the project that will be compensated upon financial closing for each stage of the energy park. The first phase will consist of a 400 MW/1,600 MWh large-scale battery energy storage system.

Bulli Creek Clean Energy Project will cover an area of over 5,000 ha and will be located approximately 4 km from the Powerlink Queensland Bulli Creek 330kV substation, which is the connection point in Queensland for the Queensland-NSW Interconnector.
