Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV), a part of Abdul Latif Jameel Energy, has completed the acquisition of two battery energy storage facilities with a combined capacity of 100 MW located in the Midlands, United Kingdom.

The energy storage facilities were acquired from RE Projects Development Limited (REPD). Each project covers about 1.01 hectares of land and is set to enter the ready-to-build phase by Q3 of 2023.

The projects are composed of two lithium-ion battery storage systems that would enable the connection to the distribution networks.
