Forestalia has awarded the construction contract to Global Energy Services (GES) for the development of the 49.5 MW Majas 6A wind farm project.
GES will deliver the balance of plant (BoP) activities as well as providing engineering, civil works, and medium-voltage grid installation services for the project. The wind farm will be built in the province of Zaragoza in Aragon, Spain. It will have 13 wind turbines, each with a 3.8 MW capacity, supplied by General Electric.
The project is expected to be operational by the second half of 2022.
