Green Genius has installed the first turbine for its 63 MW Jurbarkas onshore wind farm in the Jurbarkas district, Lithuania.

It features eleven N163/5.X turbines which sit on 159 m towers. Each of the eleven wind turbines, provided by Nordex Group, consists of 13 main parts each and will rise 240 m above the ground.

The first stage of Jurbarkas Wind Park will have a capacity of 63 MW and will start operation in 2025. The second stage of another 17 MW is to approach the construction phase shortly. The whole Jurbarkas wind park of 80MW will represent about 8% of Lithuania’s current wind portfolio. It will supply green electricity to Lithuanian businesses, saving more than 130,000 tones of CO2 per year. Green Genius invests over EUR100 million (US$108 million) in the construction of this wind park
