European Energy has taken over the operations of Heartland’s 207 MW solar park, Gedmose, near Holstebro, Denmark. Located just outside Holstebro, it produces enough electricity to meet the annual consumption of more than 50,000 households. This is the first time European Energy has taken on the operation of a solar park that the company has not developed itself and is not the owner of.
Gedmose Solar Park is owned by Heartland A/S. The park’s electricity production is covered by a power purchase agreement with BESTSELLER, Normal, Nemlig.com, and Faerch. European Energy will further expand its asset management and operations activities in the coming years — both in Denmark and internationally — as part of its ambition to offer a comprehensive service portfolio covering the entire renewable energy value chain.
