Eolus Vind AB has filed a permit application for the 1 GW Vastvind offshore wind power project in western Sweden. The wind farm will consist of up to 50 turbines and is expected to generate around 4 TWh of electricity annually.

Eolus hopes to complete the Vastvind project by 2029, subject to the successful approval of the permit application. Situated outside Ockero and Kungalv, the wind farm is expected to provide a significant addition of green electricity to the region, helping to meet the demand for more sustainable and eco-friendly energy solutions.

As part of its commitment to ensuring the supply of green electricity, Goteborgs Hamn AB has become a joint owner of the project, acquiring a 5% stake in the Vastvind wind farm.
