Northvolt has completed the construction of its energy storage system (ESS) production facility that will build its ‘Voltainer’ ESS product in Poland.
The facility will be powered solely with electricity from renewable energy sources. Northvolt aims to open the plant and start production before the end of 2023. Its target initial annual production capacity is at 5 GWh and a potential future capacity of 12 GWh.
Northvolt is a Swedish battery developer and specializes in lithium-ion technology for electric vehicles.
