Itaú Unibanco and Enel Brasil, through Enel X and Enel Trading, have signed a power supply agreement wherein Itaú will be supplied with 54.7 MW of clean energy to cover about 80% of its operation in Brazil.
Enel X will develop and construct 46 solar photovoltaic projects across the localities of Rio de Janeiro, Paraná, Sao Paulo, Goiás, Minas Gerais, Bahia, Pernambuco, Ceará, Pará, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul, Espirito Santo, Mato Grosso and Federal District, to supply power for about 1,557 Itaú branches in 14 Brazilian states.
The agreement, which has a term of 10 years, with the possibility of extension, also includes the implementation of Enel X's UBM (Utility Bill Management), a system that will allow the monitoring of energy and water consumption at Itaú's facilities and that will digitalize the management of the company's service accounts.
