Endesa SA has started the commercial operation of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects with a combined capacity of 9.6 MWp installed in four production facilities of pork meat producer Incarlopsa in Spain.
The 21,000 solar PV modules are distributed among four of Incarlopsa’s production facilities in Castilla-La Mancha: the dryers in Olías del Rey (Toledo), Tarancón, and Corral de Almaguer, and the processing plant in Tarancón with a total area of 4.6 ha.
Incarlopsa has invested a total of EUR5 million (US$5.10 million) to develop the projects that will supply energy for the operation of the processing facilities.
