Energie Baden-Wuerttemberg AG (EnBW) has started the commercial operation of a 28.1 MW solar photovoltaic facility located in Bavaria, Germany.
The Maßbach photovoltaic solar park is built on about 42 hectares of area and can generate up to 30.9 GWh of energy per year. EnBW started the construction in 2020, by receiving the subsidy for a 9.7 MW solar system in Maßbach. The company used additional available space and increased the project by 18.3 MW, without funding.
The 28.1 MW PV solar park can supply around 8,800 households with generated electricity per year. This avoids up to 21,500 tons of CO2 emissions annually.
