WEMAG commissions 165 MWp solar PV complex in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania

German utility service provider WEMAG has started the commercial operation of its 165 MWp solar photovoltaic complex located in the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania of Germany. 

The solar complex includes an 82.6 MWp solar PV project in Zietlitz which is the largest of all seven sites and currently the largest tender in the solar sector in Germany, which is funded under the Renewable Energy Sources Act. 

The Evangelical Church in Württemberg has invested in the project along with WEMAG. It is expected the solar complex can generate up to 150,000 MWh of clean energy per year.
