Energie Baden-Wuerttemberg AG (EnBW) and GAIA mbH have received approval for the construction of the Hochwald wind farm located in Trier-Saarburg district, west of Rhineland-Palatinate in Germany.
EnBW and GAIA mbH are now allowed to install nine wind turbines on the Hochwald wind project, which is expected to generate 70 million kWh of electricity annually.
Once operational, the project can generate enough to supply more than 20,000 homes and offset up to 47,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.
