Eletrobras (Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras S.A.) has completed the transference of its participation in 187 MW of wind farms in Brazil to J. Malucelli Project Manager and Risk Analysis Ltda.
The agreement states that J. Malucelli is purchasing the remaining 49% share in three special purpose entities (SPEs) for around BRL 178.26 million (US$ 42.89m).
The company will have total control over Rei dos Ventos 3 Geradora de Energia S.A., Brasventos Eolo Geradora de Energia S.A. and Brasventos Miassaba 3 Geradora de Energia S.A. As reported by the antitrust agency CADE, said companies operate wind farms with capacities of 60.1 MW, 58.4 MW and 68.5 MW, respectively.
