Eletrobras closes privatization of Amazonas Distribuidora

Eletrobras has privatised its largest distribution company, Amazonas Distribuidora with a consortium comprising Oliveira Energia and Atem. 

 Amazonas Distribuidora de Energia S.A. generates, transmits, and distributes electric energy to residential, industrial, and commercial customers. Amazonas Distribuidora de Energia S.A. was formerly known as Manaus Energia S/A and changed its name to Amazonas Distribuidora de Energia S.A. in 2008. The company was founded in 1997 and is based in Manaus, Brazil.

The offer of the consortium of companies is the only proposal presented during the auction on December 10, 2018.
