EDP Energias do Brasil, a unit of EDP Group, has completed the sale of 131.9 MW small hydropower plants (HPPs) to Statkraft AS, a Norwegian state-owned power utility.
EDP has offloaded EDP Pequenas Centrais Hidroeletricas SA (EDP PCH) and Santa Fe Energia SA for BRL601 million (US$154 million) to Statkraft Energias Renováveis SA.
The hydropower plants are operating under concessions ending between 2025 and 2030.
