Electro Generadora del Austro (Elecaustro) has announced the 50% completion of the construction work in 50 MW Minas de Huascachaca Wind Farm (PEMH) located in the province of Loja, Saraguro Canton, Ecuador.
The project has a budgeted investment of US$101 million, US$54 million was secured from Banco del Estado (BDE), while the remaining fund came from Elecaustro's own resources.
The project consists of 15 units of 3.3 MW wind turbines. The 34.5/138 kV Siemens 40/50 MVA transformer was recently installed on site.
