Following the acquisition in November 2019 from Aventron, Elektrizitätswerke des Kantons Zürich (EKZ) has started the development of the 49 MW solar PV project in Spain.
Algibicos solar farm, located in Torre-Pacheco, Murcia, Spain, will be made up of 130,000 solar panels that will generate 92 GWh of clean electricity annually, which corresponds to the electricity needs of around 20,500 households.
EKZ expects commercial operation in the final quarter of 2020.
