Cantabria government supports the 151.2 MW wind farm of Biocantaber

The Government of Cantabria has extended its support for the planned construction of the 151.2 MW wind farm in the Sierra del Escudo mountains with its developer Biocantaber SL. 

The 36-turbines wind project is a joint venture of Iberdrola Renovables and local firm Ocyener. The facility represents about EUR114 million (US$125.1 million) of investment. 

The project is expected to be operational by 2021.
