HBA Future Energy Holdings has signed a deal to provide a 532 MW offshore substation for a wind project in South Korea.
HBA Future Energy has secured a Preferred Supplier Agreement (PSA) from Anma Offshore Wind (Anma) to provide an offshore substation (OSS) as part of an Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation (EPCI) contract. Located about 40 km off the southwestern coastline of the South Korean peninsula, the Anma Offshore Wind farm is set next to Anma Island in Yeonggwang Municipality, South Jeolla Province. Once operational, the wind farm is anticipated to produce over 1,400 GWh of renewable electricity annually, sufficient to power more than 1.4 million South Koreans every year. Commercial operations for the project are scheduled to commence by 2027.
LS Cable & System and LS Marine Solution have been selected as the preferred suppliers for export cables, while Taihan Cable and Solution have been chosen as the preferred suppliers of inter-array cables for this South Korean initiative.
