The Ministry of Energy in Algeria has extended the tender deadline for the development of 1 GWp of solar photovoltaic projects following the request of some investors.
The longer period for the submission of the bids is expected to attract more investors to participate in the project, by providing time to visit the project sites and prepare technical and financial offers. The solar PV plants will be developed at 11 sites with lots of between 50 MW and 300 MW of capacity. The selected investors will be awarded a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA).
The new deadline to submit the bids is June 15, 2022. More information can be found here.
