The Danish SDG Investment Fund has made its first investment in a 19.1 MW Ganska solar photovoltaic project of Better Energy. The Fund has committed DKK37 million (US$5.7 million) investment for the solar project that will be developed in Zhytomyr region in central Ukraine.
The facility will consist of 59,000 solar modules that will produce renewable energy equivalent to the consumption of close to 6,500 households and will reduce CO2 emissions by 8,000 tons annually.
The Danish SDG Investment Fund and the Danish renewable energy company Better Energy are supporting the Ukrainian strategy and SDG 7 “Affordable and Clean Energy”. Repayment of the investment will be based on a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Ukrainian authorities.
